Red Fox’s Youth Worker Internship program provides a crucial bridge for Red Fox Youth Leaders who aspire to build their leadership experience into roles as Youth Workers. Youth Worker Interns get hands-on experience of everything that it takes to successfully plan and run Red Fox’s children’s programs, while receiving continued support and mentorship from Red Fox staff in employment and life skills.
The length and curriculum of our internship program is tailored to the needs of each participant.
Interns learn about:
Budgeting
Evaluations
Marketing
Effective supervision of children and Youth Leaders
Our approach ensures that interns get the well-rounded experience and the continued support they need to make the transition towards greater responsibility and leadership.
Practicum Placements
We also offer practicum placements for young adults aged 21-30 who are enrolled in post-secondary education in community services, youth work and recreation. Openings vary – please contact us for more information.
